Everybody is eagerly waiting for the biggest release of 2017 'Baahubali: The Conclusion'. As the movie is slated for April 28 release, no other filmmaker is ready to release their film in competition. Not just Telugu but the situation is same in all the languages including Hindi. But a small budget film 'Venkatapuram' is competing with 'Baahubali: The Conclusion'.
The filmmakers of 'Venkatapuram' announced that they are going to release the film on Apri 29. Happy Days fame Rahul is the hero of this film..Vishnu Madikanti is the director. Even though the film was ready for release long back, it could not release for some unknown reasons. But somehow they have announced the new release date now.
When Avasarala Srinvas starrer 'Babu Baga Busy' release was announced on May 5, many people were surprised as they were going agaist the tide of mighty 'Baahubali'. In such a situation how this 'Venkatapuram' is going to take on Mahishmati ? Some opine that it is just a publicity stunt to grab the attention of the audience. Let us wait and see.
Whether it is a publicity stunt or not..getting theaters is also not going to be easy for this film. Even if they get theaters.. can Venkatapuram withstand the tsunami of Baahubali 2 ?
