But to his bad luck, Meera likes someone else and leaves back to India for her wedding. You can see the vintage Sreenu Vaitla comedy during this time as Srinivasa Reddy and Raghu Babu’s episode evokes good fun.</div><div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 21px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;">Varun Tej performs to the best of his capabilities and tries to shoulder the film till the end. Performance-wise, he has done a decent job and is improving with every film. Hebah Patel gets a meaty role and does well with her simple character. Production values of the film are top notch. Especially the foreign locations were chosen and the way they have been utilized looks very good in the film.</div><div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 21px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;"><strong>Minus Points:-</strong></div><div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 21px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;">Once again, Sreenu Vaitla falls short of expectations and derails the film. Just when you think he is back with a decent first half, Vaitla makes the last ten minutes in the first half and the entire second half go for a toss.</div><div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 21px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;">The plot becomes so illogical as many characters keep entering the proceedings for no reason. Every major character has a flashback and the Karnataka set up and the kings shown will irritate you to no extent. You at once start wondering what is going on in the proceedings as not even one scene makes any sense during this time.</div><div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 21px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;">The climax of the film is another disappointment as forced family emotions and unnecessary fight leaves you disheartened. Adding to this, the run-time of the film is also way too long and makes you wonder as to what the makers were doing during the editing time. There are way too many boring comedy scenes in the film which keep coming in once in a while. Especially the Shakalaka Shankar and Priyadarshi scenes and much more stuff like this should have been chopped off.</div><div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 21px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;"><strong>Technical Aspects:-</strong></div><div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 21px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;">Sreenu Vaitla makes the film look quite grand as the production values and the village set up look realistic. Camera work is very good as the Europe visuals and India set up have been showcased through some top aerial shots. Dialogues are witty in true Sreenu Vaitla style. Editing is pathetic as at least 15 minutes of the film could have been easily edited out. Varun Tej’s styling is unimpressive as he looks quite disoriented as an NRI.</div><div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 21px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;">Coming to the director Sreenu Vaitla, even after giving continuous flops, he has taken the story and execution part quite easy and made actors suffer in some horribly executed roles. Things become even tougher as the story gets aimless and goes into another zone without any meaning. The way Sreenu Vaitla makes unnecessary characters enter at every juncture is the biggest drawback of the film. It is like watching different films in a single movie. Except for inducing some fun here and there, Sreenu Vaitla’s work is below average.</div><div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 21px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;"><strong>Verdict:-</strong></div><div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 21px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;">On the whole, Mister is one film which is only good in parts. There is some decent fun during the first half and also has a good star cast to support. But it is the execution which looks weak as the entire second half is disoriented and goes off track completely. Finally, if you do not mind the routine story and are okay with some over the top proceedings, you can give this film a shot only if you have nothing else to do. But for others who are looking for something interesting, look out for other options as well.</div></div>

The ace director’s latest film is ‘Cheliyaa’ which has Karthi and Aditi Rao as the lead pair. Let’s see whether it lives up to its expectations or not.</div><div style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 21px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;"><strong>Story:-</strong></div><div style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 21px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;">The story of the film is set during the Kargil war of 1999 where doctor Leela(Aditi Rao Hydari) falls in love with a fighter pilot named Varun(Karthi). The romance is kindled right away but Varun’s commitment phobic attitude keeps pushing Leela away from the relationship.</div><div style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 21px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;">The twist in the tale arises when Karthi is jailed in Pakistan because of the tense war situation. Ravi Varman’s cinematography is jaw dropping as the Kashmir visuals, lead pair and the entire movie set up are shown in a super classy way. Karthi looks dashing as the fighter pilot and pulls off a difficult role with ease. His performance during the climax is top notch.</div><div style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 21px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;">Aditi Rao makes a stunning south debut. She looks drop dead gorgeous as Mani Ratnam has showcased her in a never before seen way. Aditi’s emotional performance is the backbone of the film as she delivers in both the glamor and acting departments. The first half of the film is filled with typical Mani Ratnam romance, striking lead pair’s chemistry, and good drama.</div><div style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 21px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;"></div><div style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 21px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;">A R Rahman’s background score is yet another basic asset of the film. Proper justification is not given as to why he is avoiding the relationship. If these scenes would have been dealt well, the second half and the film would have made a lot of sense.</div><div style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 21px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;">Except for two songs, A R Rahman’s music score is just about okay. Dubbing done for the film looks good and so were the simple and easy dialogues. The styling done for both the stars is stunning as Karthi looks apt in those army attires.</div><div style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 21px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;">Coming to the director Mani Ratnam, he does an okay job with the film. His love for visuals, romantic conversations and music are intact in Cheliyaa as he showcases all these with a unique backdrop. But he messes up the wonderful drama during the second half as things get side-tracked many times. The way Karthi escapes from Pakistan, repeated love scenes between the lead pair can make you impatient.</div><div style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 21px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;"><strong>Verdict:-</strong></div><div style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 21px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;">Cheliyaa is one film which will surely draw mixed reactions. While one section of the audience will just love Mani Ratnam’s romance and taking, the regular audience will find it very hard to enjoy this serious romantic drama. Karthi and Aditi Rao’s sizzling chemistry, entertaining first half are basic assets. But the slow and slightly dragged second half makes things a bit difficult. Guru is definitely Venky’s Chak De of his career as his emotional and balanced performance will just blow you away. Venky gives away unnecessary heroism and lets Ritika Singh take center stage. Venky’s emotions and the way he puts up a fight with his subtle yet intense emotions till the last scene shows what an actor like him can pull off if given a good subject.</div><div style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 21px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;"></div><div style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 21px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;">Like in the original, Ritika Singh gives a stand out performance. Nasser and Zakir Hussain are top notch in their supporting roles. Production values of the film are top notch as the boxing set up and seriousness in the film have been shown in a stunning way. Dialogues are top notch and the way the film moves ahead with songs in the background is very good. Music by Santosh Narayanan is decent but his background score elevates the film to another level.</div><div style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 21px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;">Coming to the director Sudha, she has done a brilliant job with the film. Be it her narration or the way she has showcased Venkatesh in a completely new way, everything looks amazing. Guru will surely be liked by the overseas audience for its class taking but we need to see how the masses embrace it. Upset with this, he gets into a tussle with one of the cops and breaks his legs. Seeing the cop’s family situation, he himself decides to help the family which also consists of a beautiful girl called Anjali(Mannara Chopra).</div><div style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 21px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;">When things seem to be going fine, a psycho(Anoop Singh) who is on the run targets Anjali and starts following her. Rest of the story is as to how Chanti helps Anjali and falls in love with her during the course of time.</div><div style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 21px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;"><strong>Plus Points:-</strong></div><div style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 21px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;">There are only a few assets for this film and one among them is the debutante Ishaan. The young hero looks quite dashing and has decent screen presence. Right from his looks to his performance, Puri has worked hard on Ishaan and presents him in a very stylish yet massy way. She too has been showcased in a decent manner and Manara does well in whatever scope she had. Puri’s narration lacks clarity and logic as every other scene goes over the top time and again. The psycho killer is let loose and none of the cops manage to nab him even after he kidnaps close to 50 women. The film has so many silly scenes like these throughout and one would seriously wonder how come a great director like Puri can execute something like this.</div><div style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 21px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;">Even though the female bashing looks good in the start, it becomes a tad too much during the later part. The way the psycho killer is dealt by the hero and all the scenes between them look way over the top. The film’s screenplay is bad as none of the scenes impress one bit during the second half.</div><div style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 21px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;">Ali’s comedy is getting boring and outdated with each passing day. Even though Anoop Singh tries hard in his psycho role, his character has not been showcased well. The locations were chosen, the stylish camera work, everything looks amazing. Music by Sunil Kashyap is just about okay but his background score is very good. Dialogues are in typical Puri style and suit the young hero well. Editing is just about okay and so was the styling done for the film.</div><div style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 21px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;">Coming to the director Puri, it is very disheartening to see Puri execute a film like this. There is absolutely nothing story wise as a simple point is stretched through the entire second half. Puri’s trademark aggression and fun scenes are completely lacking in this film. The lack-lustre story, tedious narration and over the top scenes make this film go downhill. As the film has been made to launch Ishaan as a movie star, Puri succeeds in doing it decently. After the debacle of Sardaar, Pawan Kalyan is now back with Katamarayudu which has hit the screens all over today. Let’s see how it is.</div><div style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 21px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;"><strong>Story:-</strong></div><div style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 21px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;">Rayudu(Pawan Kalyan) and his four brothers live a happy life in their village. A strict and serious Rayudu does not marry as he feels that if a girl enters his family, there would be problems between him and his brothers.</div><div style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 21px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;">On the other hand, all his four brothers are in love and want to get married soon. Knowing that in order for them to get married, they will have to convince Rayudu to marry first as he is the elder one. All of them get together, and make a plan and contact Avanti(Shruthi Haasan) to somehow woo their brother.</div><div style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 21px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;">When things seem to be going fine, Shruthi Haasan’s family is suddenly targeted by Bhanu(Tarun Arora). He perfectly suits the elder brother’s character and carries the entire film on his shoulders.
